Renowned Fashion Designer Kshitij Choudhary launched his new collection called ‘Izmir’at the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2019. Miss Diva Universe Vartika Singh and social media sensation Manav Chhabra shahsyed down the ramp looking absolutely stunning in shades of lavender and grey.
Inspired by the Turkish carpet design techniques, ‘Izmir’ encompasses the true essence of the colourful and festive celebratory season. The designs have a perfect mix of beautiful and complex patterns and rich naturally-dyed colors. The collection has a heavy use of darker hues, applique, tonal embellishments with fusion silhouettes. Regal and floor lenth anarkalis, voluminous sleeve cuts with embroidered jackets, and palazzos with jackets/crop tops is everything “Izmir” has to offer.
Kshitij Choudhary, speaking about the collection said, “Izmir is all about celebratory and festive patterns. The fabric used is soft and the embroideries add the much needed drama to the outfits. I’ve always been a fan of prints and hence you’ll see an inspiration drawn from Turkish carpet prints in the collection.”
Vartika Singh said, “I feel beautiful in this outfit by Kshitij Choudhary which perfectly fits my body type and the fabric feels so soft and light. I am in love with the colour palettes he has used for Izmir and with festivities around the corner, I’m definitely hoarding on his collection.”
Manav Chhabra who walked the ramp for the first ever time said, “Firstly i am so grateful to have got this opportunity to walk down the ramp with such an experienced team of professional models. When Kshitij approached me, i instantly said a yes because I’ve seen his collection before and I couldn’t believe I’d get to wear one and walk the ramp representing his label. I’m taking this outfit back home to celebrate Diwali with family.”
The label ‘Kshitij Choudhary’ was officially launched in Jan’2014 with a flagship store. The house of Kshitij Choudhary was started on the belief that ‘fashion originates from ethnicity’. All collections and designs are a beautiful composition of art, luxor and the vibrant culture of India.
